Yes, you can. However, it may be a bit more difficult to navigate. You need to download the maps first when connected to the internet.
Later, you do not need to be connected to either Wifi or cellular data in order to use Navionics. However, I will say that it is much better if you have a phone that has both wifi and cell service since there may be a time in which you don’t have access to deal with navigation when you’re out on the water.
Getting lost on the water can be scary, but it doesn’t have to be. Navionics has a range of marine electronics and products that make boating better, safer and more enjoyable.
Navionics navigation is not dependent on cell services to locate you. However, you do need to download the maps using your cellular data plan or Wifi for the area you’ll be boating in. That being said, most smartphones and navigation tablets have a map app that will work without internet and cell service as well!
Navionics electronic navigation charts provide boaters with detailed topographic, bathymetric and marine information for any boating enthusiast. It also provides detailed charts for rivers, lakes and other areas.
