He has been playing video games since he was 10 years old, but only got into streaming in 2013 after realizing how much more enjoyable it would be to share his gaming experience with others. Mrekk currently streams on Twitch at least five days per week, which takes up around 20 hours of his time each day. Mrekk’s Favorite Tablet
Mrekk’s favorite tablet for game streaming is the Wacom One Digital Tablet. Mrekk uses the Wacom One Digital tablet (model DTK1300) to program his osu keys and play the game. The tablet is very similar to the Cintiq 13HD and comes with two pens, which are great for quick in-game changes. The tablet also has multiple hotkeys that allow him to switch between LoL and osu! quickly during streaming sessions.
The Wacom One tablet plugs directly into his computer and has multiple keyboard shortcuts to make his live stream more interactive with viewers. The tablet has a hotkey that allows Mrekk to switch from the main osu window into a DOSBox for a direct stream. Mrekk also uses the button to switch from osu to LoL, letting viewers know when he is in-game and ready to listen to their questions and suggestions.
The Wacom One Digital is very customizable, and Mrekk is constantly switching his display to best suit his needs. The touch screen can be manipulated into different inputs for different games, which allows Mrekk to play multiple games at once without switching his tablet pen between each one. He also uses the touchscreen to scroll through Reddit or chat messages from his viewers during a live stream.
The heavy lifting of Mrekk’s live streaming is done by a powerful Alienware laptop with an Intel Core i7 CPU, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970M GPU, and 16GB of RAM.
In addition to his tablet and computer, Mrekk also has a camera to stream games in 720p quality.
