Most of the time, we use tablets for surfing the net and sometimes for work. But when we are trying to get work done on our PC, it can be frustrating enough. Most times, laptops have wifi capability and you can use it to connect a tablet to your PC.
The process is pretty easy. You just need to connect your tablet to your PC.
- Via wifi
- Via a USB cable
- Via Bluetooth
And then you can use it as an external monitor for your PC.
There are some tablets that have built-in wifi capability. These tablets are called WiFi-only tablets. But, if your tablet doesn’t have any wired ethernet port and you want to connect them to a computer, you need to buy an adapter or modem card.
Connecting the Tablet to PC Via Wi-Fi
You must first make sure that your PC and Android device are both connected to the same Wi-Fi router. Then download an app such as AirDroid, which will allow you to transfer files from your PC to your Android device.
Once you have installed the AirDroid app on your PC, connect it to your Wi-Fi network. Next, open the AirDroid app on your tablet, and then tap “Add.” You will see a list of devices on your network that you can connect to. From here, tap “Add remote” and add in the IP address of your tablet. Once you have added it, the process should be pretty self-explanatory.
Connecting the Tablet to PC Via Bluetooth
1. On the computer’s taskbar, click on the Bluetooth icon
2. In the Bluetooth settings window, click on “Add a device”
3. Select “Android Phone” from the list of available devices
4. Enter the PIN code for the Android phone into the window that pops up, then click on “OK”
5. The computer will now try to find the Android tablet, and if it does, you’ll see a message saying that it has found an Android device with Bluetooth enabled within range of your computer.
Connecting the Tablet to PC Via USB Cable
Connecting your Tablet to your PC using a cable is really easy. Most Android devices come with a USB cable so all you need is to connect the two devices from the USB port to the USB port.
Now, when you connect a device from your PC to the USB port of your Android device, it will show up in the list of connected devices under Hardware > Other Devices. To see which application is controlling that device, just look for its name in the Manager application.
You can also use this same method if you want to connect multiple devices at once by connecting all of them at once. Just make sure that each device has a separate cable plugged into its corresponding slot on your PC or laptop and then run through all of them one by one or group them together into one group (like “All my tablets”).
